I recently watched a 2016 documentary "The Changing Face of ... The Queen" on PBS.

Within the first 20 minutes, they talk about the Wilding and Machin photos as the basis for British & Commonwealth stamps.

At the 15:00 minute mark, there is a brief tour of Stanley Gibbons store.

Right at the end of the program are a few more stamp images.

Amazing references thanks for posting and will look for it. It is an amazing legacy she will leave behind. My early Newfoundland and Canada stamps with her as the child princess Elizabeth are some of my favorite.

I agree @crouse. This Newfoundland stamp was not discussed but was shown several times during the program; in the context of how QEII has been a fashion icon since childhood.
