Yesterday, I received an ebay lot from the Netherlands which was nicely franked with the 2 stamps pictured below and several others.

Since it was a large envelope, I clipped the stamps off for soaking. I am glad I looked at these 2 stamps closely before soaking. Each stamp has a small, plastic seed packet attached to its center. I haven't tried to count the seeds.

Will the catalogs price them for both with and without seeds?

What an idea, 'let's spread unwanted, possibly indigenous-threatening, non-native plants around the world'.

They are very common domesticated flower seeds that are common worldwide. No Kudzu or Mile-a-minute flowers seeds.

Bookbndrbob, good thing you did not soak them! Can you imagine, having flowers growing out of your album?

Peter, I do tend to have an overactive imagination at times. Yes, I can imagine green leaves peeking out of my albums. I keep silica gel packs in my cover boxes, because South Carolina is prone to have high humidity. And, I favor used stamps over mint.

Life is so persistent. It makes me wonder if any of these seeds could ever sprout from landfills.
