I liked the aesthetics of this one, as well as the large multiple still on its original document. I haven't seen very many large multiples of the hyphen-hole perforated battleships; the rouletted versions seem to appear much more frequently in multiples.

Then again, I am not a battleship revenue specialist, so I haven't seen as many multiples (or documents) as others have.

According to the Curtis Census, this is far and away the largest reported multiple of R165p, with the second largest multiple being a block of 6. However, I'm not sure how much attention Dan Curtis gave the later revenues compared to the first through third issue material. In other words, are there proportionally more unreported battleship multiples out there?

Regardless of where this sits amongst the largest multiples of the type, I dig it.

I like it, 62 cents for a $3,100 loan

It would be helpful for all the rates in the 1898 period to be conveniently available somewhere.

The rate on loans in this era is obviously 2˘/$100, thus the 62˘ payment. That's cheaper than during the Civil War era, when it was 5˘/$100.

Hi, have you checked each stamp for plate varieties?

If you found any, could you scan them and show us all?
