I am new here. I hope I am posting in the correct forum. I am also new to stamp collecting so this may be an easy question for you. I received these stamps in a small collection I acquired. I cannot find them in the Scott catalog. I took them to two local Post offices. I was told they thought they were postage stamps, but could not tell me with any certainty that they were or what type of stamps they are. One of them thought they may be some type of custom stamp that would have been used in some type of printer or metering machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

I received 4 strips of 10 metered out .01 cent on a large envelope that I received from The American Philatelic Society I also assumed they are some type of privately metered stamps but could not find out if they have a number or not.
