Hi all,
Newly registered member here,
My dear Mother sadly passed away last November and going through her
paperwork and belongings to help sort out her Estate, I came across
a collection of stamps.

Not having any idea on value or if they are a required item, I found
this site with the hope of some expertise and advice.
Would anyone have an idea?

Thank you.

The 2 "commericial overprints" Borough of Islington, and Electricity board.
The 4½d Queen Victoria Carmine and green
The bottom left hand block of 4 are worth preserving well.

The rest minimal value.

At first glance. typical of non specialist collection, worth very little.
However, to understand the value, apart from financial aspect,
many of the stamps would be "picked over" and may be important for the student of differing disciplines.

We have a "MEB" Perfin, 2nd page 4th row down, we have, possibly an early
Postmark lined "31" from Edinburgh Scotland
We have CDS's (circular date stamps) of differing towns.

All these have specialist collecting interest, but little financial value.

Preserve them best you can, or pass them on.

Agree with rod222's opinion. Nothing of any cash value here, but exciting to me, as I just began a UK collection. These are all pretty common, but there are a lot of neat stamps here.

The Victoria 4½ d stamp may be mint and worth around 90p... strangely enough it is one of few stamps worth more Used than Mint.
Your block of four Victoria Penny red stamps MIGHT get you a £1 as the condition is atrocious.
Any of you commemorative stamps with wavy lines or part slogan cancels would be worth a penny or less each. Anything torn or stained is worthless
The fiscally used QE II stamps are collectable but worth pennies.
On a good day on ebay you might get around £5 UK in total for all you have posted here. Most of the value would be from the George V and the QE II Wilding stamps as they might be worth a second look to some collectors.
