Just going through some recent purchases I found that the 17 cent Fisher postcard I had bought has no trace of the normal 2 mm by 21 mm tagging bar at the left of the "stamp" (the normal position) or misplaced anywhere else on the card.

I have not seen or found this missing tagging recorded anywhere and wondered if it is known. I assume it is not that common.

Does this occur on any other Fisher or other series of post cards.

Unless you collect stationery a scan will not help much as stamps with the same design were not issued. However this is what it looks like (Webb P 116) It is not a high resolution picture though

I do collect stationary, but don't have this one.
I don't have Webb, just Unitrade.
Thanks for posting the scan.

Webb's 7th Edition does not mention any variety of Fisher envelope without the tag.

Yes I have looked in Unitrade and Webb and also some of the BNAPS postal stationery newsletters. The only thing similar I have heard of is a 17 cent Fisher envelope that is also not tagged.

I hope some more info turns up
