Nice assortment of France and French area stamps. Note the top stamp (primate) is actually a Republic of China stamp.

I considered that to be part of the French area. That stamp and several in the middle rows are French area stamps, rather than France stamps.

Given that this is a beginner's worldwide collection, you may want to first decide if you want to continue to build up on this inherited collection before you start moving things around. The retail value is insignificant; the true value is in the enjoyment and also the continuation of something passed on to you by family/relatives.

If you do decide to start up collecting (and I hope you do), you will reach a point where you will need to reorganize the collection. I wouldn't do it now, because you will need a little more stamp knowledge to get a better idea of how you want to reorganize the collection. Get to know the collection a little better, see what interests you, ask questions... and then several months down the line, you can start considering if/how to reorganize.

Best wishes...

k
