My great Uncle died in 1900 at the age of 21. He had traded chickens (yes, live birds) throughout the world, and had collected some stamps from all over. I have identified where most of them came from, but I have three that I cannot identify, and have spent the past 25 or so years wondering where they came from. I am posting them here hoping someone can help me. Thanks.

Hi, without a book in hand I'll guess that the first two come from Turkey. No idea about the third one.

I have looked and looked through Scotts Postage Stamp catalogs, and can't find those two in Turkey--that was my guess for the first one, anyway. I have no idea on the second one. I can't find anything like it.

The pair in the third image are from Spain issued 1882, SC#252 (salmon colour) or 252a (orange). Difficult to determine actual colour from your image.

Thankyou for the third one! That one is solved. It is orange looking to me in real life. Now if we can figure out the first two.

Hi Esther,

The top stamp is a 10 paras "Proportional Fees" Turkish revenue stamp from 1879.

Liannos Constantinople local postage stamps are listed as back-of-the-book in Michel catalog, and in Turkish catalogs as well.
