I've said in the past that were I starting over and had I zero concern about ever recouping any portion of my expenditures, in other words, collecting purely for enjoyment, I would collect 19th century proofs and essays. They're absolutely gorgeous.

However, at this stage in the game I don't want yet another diversion (have too manyalready), and the proof/essay market is generally stone dead... good buying opportunities though.
