We have a hostile LPO that inspects our mailing to the max. This is simply because they can not sell the stamps I want from them and a label is not an option.

But even so I have a big issue about filling out the customs declaration form that is attached to the parcel of kiloware as a gift and not what it truly is and that is a purchased item.

Why should I be apart of knowingly trying to defraud the customs laws of any country?

Why should I be abused by a buyer for not marking the export parcel as a gift?

You should not mark any paid for merchandise as a gift.

I refuse to mark items as gifts and I actually report those that ask to ebay. I'm sure reporting them doesn't accomplish anything but make me feel better.

Thanks for the support. It is very much appreciated.

Got one person from Europe area send me an ebay email saying that they had the post person ask for a fee to be paid before handing over the parcel. The buyer said no I will not pay the custom tax send it back to the seller.

Buyer also emailed to me saying that they wanted me to resend the parcel at my cost which was about $80. The cost was 3x that of the customs tax. After a domestic through ebay the buyer decided to get the parcel resent and repaid the $80 mailing cost. Guess what! The custom people again asked them to pay customs tax. It came back to me again.....

ebay supported me in that no more contact at all for this buyer and I put in a 2nd complaint about them to ebay with all the emails. ebay seemed to be not very happy with this now banned buyer.Sometimes I just shake my head....

Pretty standard practice for sellers to be asked to under-declare value, and to accommodate such requests, when I used to buy large quantities of 45s from the US in the 1980s. Of course, if you're hit with duty, you should grimace and pay it - you incurred it, it's not the seller's responsibility.

Soon as I declare under payment there goes my claim for my full extra cover from Auspost if the parcel becomes lost.

My LPO checks everything.
