Hi; I had an old 19th century stamp album with different world stamps that I kept and didn't really examine for years. One day I decided to remove all the stamps.Finding under the country Trinidad, I was perplexed by the stamps in question; as they did not fit into anything under Trinidad.Further investigation led too the stamps of this short lived country (1893) under the leadership of prince James Harden-Hickey.
He had one of the most Incredible of lives...

That is a pretty ambitious set of stamps for the size of the principality, about 4 square miles. Very interesting! The first Wilkipedia link say that Prince James I designed the stamps, but printer and quantity are unknown?

These stamps where printed in Austria,at the same epoch of the North Borneo stamps from which they were influenced. There exists also postal stationary with 5c & 15c.Postcards also exist pre-stamped .No data yet on the printers name nor the quantities...

The Island has luxuriant vegetation.Water that runs from the high mountains. Also large amounts of Guano from the many birds that populate the area.Potentially a rich island..
