I'm brand new on this site and am not entirely sure I'm posting in the right area, but I need help identifying a damaged stamp. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

It is a Netherlands Indies stamp issued in 1933. Sorry, I can not give you a Scott or SG number.

This stamp was printed in 2 runs. The first run had a color die which was not water resistant. Any contact with water would make the color disappear. Is there anything wrong with having this stamp in your collection? No, not to my opinion, this is simply how the first print of this stamp is. You could put your stamp and an example that Rod has shown in your collection and have both prints on display. The stamp by the way is not expensive. I can not tell you why this first print was like this. A mistake in materials or maybe an attempt to prefent people using the stamp again.(that technique was used before in the Netherlands Indies) Kind regards, Johan.
