The 10 L red orange on bluish paper Paris print has a control number that is unique - 8 mm high. (All other control number are 6.5 mm high.) How high is the control number?

@Jkjblue
Sorry I should of course have written that in my first post... Yes control number height are 8mm high.

And thank you for pointer to BB, I already know it and used it for identification of the stamp in discussion. A very very good site indeed.

@perf12

IMO, Karamitsos' catalog (Hellas) is by far the best of the three major Greek specialized catalogs.

Its English is decent, its color representation is close to reality, it's explanations and variety listings are understandable and easy to use.

I can confirm that it is not one of these known forgeries:

Spiro, Fournier, Oneglia or Alisaffi

More in-debth about forgeries of Hermes, see Ure, Vlastos and Feenstra

@korsbecker,

I'm glad you like it :-)

Greece is one of those countries where I'm overwhelmed with material.
I probably have several hundred images of various forgeries.
Time is something that I'm short of, however.
