I am in the need of someone to do short translations of Russian and Chinese into English. I have some articles from Philately USSR that I needed translated. I once had a trading partner in China who sent me Chinese space covers and I'd like to sell them but I need an English translation of the covers. Anybody who can help can email me directly with scf in the subject line.

I can help with Russian also.
Now it is easy to translate if you can digitize original article with character recognition. I frequently use German philatelic books and translate with help of my scanner. Software allows me to select default language for Character recognition, so after scanning with this software I have PDF file with German "selectable" text and I paste it into Google Translator. Result is quite readable, except for some very specific philatelic terms.

It may be possible to OCR the Chinese writing, then paste it into Google translate to get a rough idea as to what it is saying. Try googling "chinese ocr".
