A recent acquisition of some more cindys has made me confront a problem that's been coming for some time. My cinderella collection, which is stored in a binder, in Vario pages, has become quiet cumbersome and disorganized.
I do print pages for my stamps and cover, but I really hoped to avoid that for this collection, since it's been a looser endeavour. Maybe that's come back to bite me in the butt.
What do you cindy collectors do? We've seen Rod's amazing and well researched pages. The man's a 'cinderella rock star', and I'd never hope to reach those heights. Any simpler suggestions?

I believe that each of Rod's Cinderellas has its custom-made glass slippers.

Them's mighty fine words James

Here's how I tackle the problem, (after watching closely buyers at Stamp Auctions)

Cinderellas have a lower interest value when collated in "Cinderella collections"
Sell a collection of German cinderellas, to a German collector, and the return is five fold.

Ergo, I collate my collections in Scott Catalogue format.

Album 1 of any particular country has , in turn.........
Country,
Semi Postal
Air Post
Officials
Cinderellas

As the collection expands, say to 2 albums, just retain the hiearchy.

The benefits........
The Cinderella issues are easy to locate, when you want information etc

Just get a sheet protector sleeve, insert a blank page (as a stiffener) , and plop in the Cinderellas (in glassines if you have to)
There you go, immediately at hand when you want them.

I don't need to advise you how to make a page, I have seen your Album Page work, and mine pale into insignificance.

When you have a collection of Cinderella weird stuff, it is great fun to
arrange them on the Stamp table, and design a Personal page to suit.
Good pages like these always attract great attention at auctions, esp if you add searched information to ID.

Get to work !

Ordinarily, I keep my Cinderellas in their own stock books. They are collected/arranged by country. Within each country, Cinderellas are arranges chronologically, from earliest to latest. To me, this is preferable to stashing them away in glassines, and it accommodates an expanding collection.

I have altered this pattern somewhat for Germany and Bavaria, where there seems to be a tradition/pattern of producing cinderellas along with some stamp issues. In these instances, I mount the label near the stamp(s).

I store my cinderellas on stock books. As I mainly collect Catalan ones, I classify them by town, era (Civil War...) or subject (Esperanto, Barcelona fairs...). I've also plastic folders for whole sheets or big blocks.
A good friend of mine, who's great cinderella collector, places them on an album, with mounts, like stamps; classified by series. They look impressive!
I would to do like him, If I could afford. But, I prefer to spend my elussive money on stamps and cindys more than on pages and mounts.

I only have one. The FDR "stamp collector's for president". I keep it in the MYSTIC album along with my FDR Inauguration 3/4/33 Hyde Park cover and FDR death 4/12/45 Washington DC cover. I'm still looking for an FDR Warm Springs cover dated 4/12/45. If anybody out there has one, please let me know!

I store my cinderellas in stock books until I complete sets or a series and then I mount them and place in my country collections as back of the book items.
