My mom collected US postage stamps. Her collection consists of sheets of stamps bought at the post office over the past 20 or so years. It is my understanding that these stamps have little to no collectible value. However, they could obviously be used as postage. I would like to either sell the stamps or donate them to an organization that could use them.

So I have two questions:

1) Any advice on selling these stamps? Are sites like https://www.sellunusedstamps.com worth my time?

2) Any advice on donating these stamps? I really do not want to take the time to contact individual local charities to see if they would want the stamps.

Thanks.

If you want to donate, try the American Philatelic Society, or APS at http://stamps.org .

While I had never heard of this site or any others like it, the prices they quote seem reasonable.
