scott catalog list two watermarks for the denmark #52 and 52b(no watermark detected)

for the #52 it says watermark 112 while for the #52b it says watermark 113.and because I cannot detect a watermark anywhere on the stamp, after I performed all kinds of watermark testing, how do I determine what scott number applies? see front without wmk solution, and see reverse with wmk solution..

you must have binocular eyes.because there is no visable watermark present..are you sure you are not "imagining" this?

unless the image at the very bottom near the lower perf is a watermark,
it is very hard to see this clearly!

Sorry Sorsh. Please do not take this kind of feedback as a reflection on the rest of the community. The majority of us appreciate your input.

I would never call any community member an idiot. I do think that your response of 'are you sure you are not "imagining" this?' was very poorly worded and is perceived by most people as 'push back'. A much better response would have been something like, "I do not see the watermark, could you clarify or help me understand where it actually is?".

This community has many people who have spent large amounts of time studying specific areas and are willing to share their experience. If people perceive someone as 'pushing back' then chances are good that less and less people will reply to those threads. So to get the best feedback, it is important to word posts that do not feel like 'push back'.

The crown watermark is visible in the bottom of the oval vignette in your lower image. The base of the crown is "resting" on the base of the vignette. Like many of these watermarks, it is off-centre.

Thanks Don, you just beat me to it! I had just opened up Photoshop and was getting the image of the stamp. A picture speaks a thousand words.

I am looking for the 113 WMK inverted types.Only have 1 ,the 4 ore. Many sellers don't indicate the WMK types in their listings for these issues.
So it's kind of the lottery.....

Thanks Don.

i had already made a photoshop image of the watermark, but decided that it wasn't worth it.

Edw_Kim, last time you needed feedback on a swedish postage due, there were a number of people giving their oppinions ALL of which were correct, you had a person, Jay Smith, who some regard as an expert say the same thing, and still, STILL, you weren't convinced.

this is a forum, as Don said, where many people provide help from their specialized/expert knowledge. And as Don correctly noted, I don't personally spend my time helping only to have mine questioned from people with obvious lack of it.
