I posted in another thread a suggestion that SCF allow including member's cities in their profile - so invitations could go out to area members for events such as we had at ORAPEX. Discovered profiles already allow that. Perhaps next year we could get a note out to Ottawa region collectors about a gathering. Of course people need to add city locale to their profiles.
I travel from Tennessee to attend but didn't arrive Saturday until 10:30 am or so. Did not have access to internet so did not know about Sunday meeting announcement. Even so had a very good time at ORAPEX and found some outstanding stamps for my collection. If I go to any shows in Canada this is one I would always attend.
I second the comments above, ORAPEX offers the Canada collector probably the best overall experience at a show - time for shopping, time for socializing and a good venue (though it was uncomfortably cold indoors this year). It is always well organized, and Ottawa is a great city, except for those annoying Senators fans... Just kidding.
