Tina, Where do you get this stuff? That is the top set plus the larger matching one are one of the most desirable set of early Red China.
1950 Scott's 60-4.

The left 2 stamps at the bottom are both China (Republic of China) and are as follows:

$100 violet stamp is #776 (issued 16Dec1947)

$5000 green stamp is #785 (issued 20Mar1948, both perf14 and imperforate)

The other stamps are China (PRC), but they may be originals or reprints. Originals have a pretty decent premium, but the reprints are plentiful and relatively inexpensive (a few $ per set).

The 4 Mao stamps are either China (PRC) #31-34 or the reprints. It looks like one of them is a CTO, so you should examine each stamp separately as it may be intermixed between originals/reprints. To distinguish, examine the button in Mao's jacket as described below (taken from 2007 Scott catalog).

The 5 flag stamps are either China (PRC) #60-64 or the reprints. These reprints are a little harder to distinguish unless you've seen the originals to compare. In the originals, the flag is a duller shade of red and leaves at the bottom of the flagpole are noticeably reddish brown (compared to a grayish brown in the reprints). You should check the green $800 stamp first, as that is the easiest to distinguish. Look at the orientation of the background dots in the flag with respect to the star as shown below.

I hope you have the originals!

Tina, So was this was your Grandfathers collection? I find that much of what you have shown alot of stamps that generally found in a very advanced stamp collection. There has been a great deal of cool stuff and in some cases valuable.

Good Collecting!

Tina, it looks like for the Mao set, you have the reprints. I've circle the dot in the button in the scan you uploaded (very nice, very clear). You should check the other 3 Mao stamps to verify that they are all reprints (just in case one of them might be an original!).

Tina,

The part about the orientation of the background dots to the star ONLY applies to the green $800 flag stamp (rightmost stamp in 3rd row of your original post), not to any of the Mao stamps (2nd row) or any of the other flag stamps (top row).
