How about these boots! Epinal in France has been known as a town with a printing industry for colored prints since the end of the 18th century. The stamp belongs to a series illustrating regional French specialities, note the cancellation.

In these two semipostals the shoe is not a major part of the picture, but it is an important part of the story: Cinderella!

Have you heard of the competitive sport of boot throwing? Its origins might be New Zealand, or perhaps Finland? In both countries it is good fun enjoyed by many, and now there are even international competitions! The stamp belongs to a set of 6 illustrating unusual fun sports in Finland, 2013. Photo: Taihape in New Zealand.

By the designer Stuart Weitzman (needs practice to walk in these; looks like there are even precious stones on the straps).

Vincent van Gogh did several paintings of shoes, these perhaps his own. A less well-known work of 1888 which can be seen in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY.

(Hello Bookbob, That is a cute advertising sticker! Did you know that there is a whole set of them that used to be collectibles? K.)
