Stationery, not stamp, not in Scott and Michel catalogue but in the Hungarian specialized catalogue from their Philatelic society and in the H &G show in the photo

Here my H&G catalogues

Stationery are a real pain, they are confuse with stamps all the time. The problem is that many years ago peoples start to cut them to place them in albums, Will never been a problem if they are left on a full piece

Area66 Im a bit confused on the numbering issue for the 1871 King Franz, I actually took those numbers from the stampworld catalogue.

Do you know what reference they use for their numbering? Is it Scott, Michel or their own system?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Thats good info to know area66, as far as scott is considered.

I have alot of world stamps and am currently in the process of sorting them into separate countries and eventually will catalog everything.

Do you have any suggestions for me as to cataloguing my worldwide stamps?

Is there a reference you prefer for european countries, south american, asian, africa?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

Lol...Yes I've actually pretty much settled on vario pages which seem to be most flexible for my collections ultimately. (Right now they are spread between albums, glassines, 102s, 104s, 107s, stock books, varios etc etc.)

But what reference guides (catalogs with numbering for each stamp, i.e. scott, michel etc) do you prefer for lets say north america stamps in particular?

Also for European stamps, etc, etc.

Thanks for your advice area66 and anyone else who would like to share their preference in catalogs for different countries/continents.

*Forgive me moderator if this is a bit off topic for the post, just let me know and I will start a new topic.*

Thanks,

Dave

Dae, it all depends on what you collect. If you have a Scott album and try to get the basic stamps from the world get a Scott catalog. But if you get interested in any kind of specialty area, whether US or anything else you're going to need a specialized catalog.
Lots of different catalogs have been mentioned on this forum - put your area of interest in the "search" function on this page and you will find your answer.
