New to stamps, and recently purchased a rather large collection that I have been selling on ebay

Came across this Great Britain 1/2d stamp and cannot find any information. Unfortunately I do not own a scott catalog or any reference books for stamps (Only coins)

I have been using the Scott catalogs in the coin shop that I work on Saturdays. Unfortunately he is away and the shop is closed at the moment

Any ideas on what I have here?

As mentioned it is a meter mark and this type dates from around 1927 although your one is probably a later version from around ten years later than that. Originally with a town/city mark otherwise known as a datestamp.
