I'm not sure how to quote Wert, however; I just pulled out another six of Nfld 40 and they all have the same dot, same location. So, probably not a variety unless it is a huge coincidence.

Robert, the OHMS with doubling of the perfin holes is interesting. That row of the sheet must have overlapped with another and was punched a second time?
On that 1162, it is used and probably had the surface removed by tape pulling it off while soaking free from paper. Or rubbed off, as you can see the mottled paper in that area.

My SC247 on a three stamp cover has a black spot to the left of the statue. Although there is a black Royal Visit cancellation, it does not appear that the black spot is related to it normally It may be ink splatter at the time of cancellation.

Interesting BlackJag..I have sheets..I will have to check this out.

Also look at of my Scott 1181 stamps...I perf. one as 13.3 on the top and another perf. as 13.5 on the top...I am not saying they used 2 different perf. wheels, but looks a little strange.

Finally got everything up and running again, this is the #484 that has no period or comma after Toronto. Wert showed one with a period and one with a comma earlier on page 5.
I noticed there was another difference between the two shown below is this just a shift in the black colour?

Cheers, Bill

Robert

Here is another little known oddity with reguards to Canada O.H.M.S. stamps..The perfins on these stamps I have found came in 3 sizes.
Large-Medium-Small

I have already looked through about 50,000 of my 66,000 stamps...Took weeks and weeks...See sizes below.
