Been stamp-collecting since the early 1940's. Have had all sorts of collections, but for the last 20 to 30 years I have concentrated on just one philatelic pursuit -- collecting worldwide stamps on which I can read and identify the city/town/place where they were canceled.

But in all those years I've not yet found anyone else who is doing the same thing!

Is there anyone else out there?

Still maintaining a worldwide used collection of sorts and always had a strong interest in town cancels, though mostly in some of the smaller countries. Have you seen this thread yet?:

@ Mr 'BOOM' - EdziuMM
By 'doing the same thing' - do you mean collectors that are only interested in CDS postmarks and not collecting stamps in general? In case of the later, several of us in here are collecting stamps and having side collections for nice postmarks.

in my case, I now do only the town canceled stamps -- just about to go over 69,000 of them.
just looking for others doing some of the same so can have someone with which to trade info, sources of info, pix of great ones, etc.

I confess being a 'classically trained collector' (from European perspective) in a sense that I prefer my stamps with SOTN postmark whenever possible. Needless to say this results in somewhat endless upgrade process as I'm not just adding new stamps to my worldwide collection, but also consistently improving the quality of those items.

Here's possibly one of my rarest items postmarkwise - Finnish 1889 stamp with Nuijamaa cancellation. The stamp itself is cheap, but the cancellation is R5 (rarest rating of all):
