I also agree that the airmails and special delivery issues should be listed with the other stamps of the set, but one of the BIG selling points of the Unitrade Catalogue is that it uses Scott numbers, thus the weird up numbering system. |

Scott numbers are based on a U.S. company's numbering system. Is there any real Canadian numbering system? There have been several over the years but most are now defunct. |

If I remember correctly I got my Maury France 2016 for 40 Euro (+ shipping). GeoffHa - I like the 'stand' for your catalog - where did you get that - and what is the correct term - 'bookstand'? edit: I found it on ebay - I think I'll need one of those to liberate more space on my seemingly forever congested desk |

jogil - Pretty low. Cover price of each is between €20-25. Publishers' "domestic" catalogues tend to be cheaper than those for colonies etc.
Blaamand - it's called The Professional Bookrest, but there'll be lots of similar things around. I got it as my daughter was nagging me for commandeering her "Bookchair", which is another popular variety. I also have a large Taschen perspex bookrest to support the art-books I don't look at! |

It's start to be very hard to find something quick in the new Unitrade or Scott US specialised catalogues. May be about time they separate the flyspec stuff in a separate volume |

For US, my first reach is Brookman's catalogue. They list mostly issues generalist collectors are most likely to collect. There is not an extra detail except to help uniquely identify specific issues. The spiral bound makes it easy to user. Scott's organization does not help either. |

While Scott numbers are made in the U.S.A., is there any one specific made in Canada stamp numbering system for Canadian stamps that Canadian stamp collectors agree on? |

Yes, it is one of several different uniquely Canadian numbering systems. There have also been Holmes, Bileski, Canada Specialized (CS), Canada Wholesale Supply (CWS), etc. The only current Canadian numbering system (NSC) appears to be in Walsh British North America Specialized Catalogue and Walsh Newfoundland Specialized Catalogue at http://www.nfldstamps.com |
