The Cape of Good Hope "symbols of colony" stamps issued in the 1860s (Scott #s 16-22) are identified by a "frame line around stamp".
The "symbols of colony" stamps issued in the 1880-90s time frame are identified by "without frame line around stamp".
I have several examples of these, and confess I just can't tell which is which - even with a 10x lens. Where can I find a magnified pic of each that will help me see the difference?
Hi mobilman44, I don't have access to a Scott Catalogue, but I guess you are referring to the "Hope Seated" stamps in which case hopefully this will help you differentiate.
