Portuguese Congo #118, which prevents me from having a complete collection of all major varieties for the country (138 regular stamps + 1 newspaper stamp), per the Scott catalog. |

SYRIA 106c ---The 25c on 10cent green ,that is the hardest stamp to find to complete the Scott International vol 1 series .Last year I purchased all the Cape Juby stamps for the Vol.1 , which is the hardest country to complete in the vol. 1 series .It took 4 years waiting for the whole Cape Juby sets to come on the market . |

I've always thought it quite an achievement by Big Blue to miss out the 1d black and include an obscure error! |

If I am to choose from stamps which are known to exist, then it would be probably be South West Africa 10/- setting I of overprint (SG11) as a used pair. That would complete all the basic SWA stamps, pre-1935, and this has long been a stamp which I have been unable to afford when it turns up at auction. A block of 4 would be even nicer... :-) |

So many stamps I wish I had, but if I had to choose only one, I would say: Tuscany Provisional government 3 Lire Scott #23. |

A plate number strip of 5 ( PS5 ) of Scott 1908, the Fire Pumper, plate 11 with a gripper crack running from the engine to the M of Pumper. I would not mind it used or as a single - I have never even seen one nor do I have a picture.
