i don't wish to own any particular stamp, i'm quite happy with what I have.

but that is most likely because I don't collect those boring "fill these spaces" collections, so i'm not limited to collect what others have determined I should.

i buy the objects that speak out to me, either in rarity, history or aestheticly. unfortunately for my bankbalance, that happens a lot :/

I'm not greedy (today anyway) so I would select a genuine Denmark #1 to replace the forgery in my collection.

Novato, you threw me there..............

Not seen that stamp before.
I tracked it down, Sc# MH129A (1996 Coil)

Looks like Mr. Steiner does not have it in his album pages.

PS I collect whatever passes my desk, Mint or used, damaged or unwanted.

Great Britain Machins 1970 Steiner Page 10.

I think that 25p stamp is the only example of the long Machin series, where it was originally issued with elliptical perforations then re-issued (in a coil, in this case) with normal perforations.

All other examples of stamps issued in both forms (eg the 1p), were normal to start with then changed to elliptical.

Right, thanks Ringo, I had a double-take when I was looking in my album,
I saw a block of 6 the same colour, before noticing the ellipses.
