#8203;(many red ink lines and other printing flaws) refer to detail images
SG#383a Sc#338a

many ink lines on stamp as well as missing ink on dark areas at bottom. Also break in border lines above 2nd "O" of "CORREOS".

Opinion:
Fairly common on this issue,
appears to have been a problem with ink viscosity,
albeit, I have not seen any explanation of these curiosities.



May be a "wiper" ductor / doctor blade fault

Thanks Rod222 for information - your stamp looks so similar but with differences in the bottom area. Also the "25" looks like an ink pull that "shades" or "doubles" the numbers. Interesting.

The ink lines & the missing ink at the bottom are printing flaws.

but the break in the border above the 2nd "O" of "CORREOS" looks like it may be a plate flaw (maybe a constant plate variety?) or something stuck to the plate. Looking for comments on this if anyone knows.

these are also very common on danish stamps around 1905.
commonly referred to as cliché scratches

mentioned in another post is that these are cracked clichés and that is not the case, these do appear, but are much wider/thicker and rarely form straight lines.
