I want to begin dispersing my accumulation of stamps that don't fit my area of collecting.
While I don't have any great philatelic rarities, I might have some that'll fill spaces in others collections.

Before I offer items for sale, I want to be sure of there identification.
This one seems straight forward. Is it Scott #65

I don't have my books here, but I thought the Plate number was unique to help identify which Scott issue. (Plate 13 in this case.) Maybe not.

Scott#65, rose watermark, plate 13 only
Scott#87, crown watermark, plate 13 and 14

Price-wise the 87 is worth around 4 times less than the 65 so would be prudent to get it right before advertising for sale.

Thanks everyone!
This is why I post here. What seems simple to me, often isn't.

My 2008 Scott Catalogue lists #87 as plate 14 only. So water mark didn't even enter my thoughts.

In the case of this stamp, it does have the flower watermark. So I was correct calling it #65, but only by luck.

I'd rather not rely on luck. Thanks again members.
