Anyone remember the lavish book that came out about 1975 that depicted a representative group of US stamps in full color? It is still a common book in the secondary market, you can pick one up for just a few bucks.

Many people may not recall the publisher also produced an album to go along with it. I bought one in my youthful days in the mid 70's and used it as my primary US album for years, util they stopped making supplements. I just saw one on ebay:

Being sold by a charity and I have to assume it is not a complete set of pages, the original I think took two binders to 1975.

I am happy with my Mystic album but for someone not collecting newer stuff this would be a great find. You could interleave the pages with the color illustrations on the left with black stock sheets.

Like I said I am very happy with Mystic and don't want to go there. No I really don't...

I actually won one of these for my exhibit at MILCOPEX once upon a time. Just went and looked and it goes to 1974 in two volumes, as you said. Never put any stamps in it, however.
