Just found an interesting lot ("I think?). Nebraska town Precancels on Scott numbers 669 Clay center "C" looks like a "B", 670 Hastings and 678 Clay Center. All are used F - VF. Are these anything a little more special or just kind of interesting. I actually need the the 678 in my US album so if nothing special for a precancel will mount it there. Sorry but cannot do scans for a couple more weeks.

Wow - totally forgot to scan these until found in my to do pile. As the OP is a little over two years ago, you can tell how deep the to do pile is.
Just looking for some comments especially regarding the Clay Center cancel. I do not find it in my precancel listing. Kinda neat with a NE cancel on a NE overprint.

Also realized that the 669 is inverted.

Wheelman,

....and I thought I took long snoozes!

Man, that's a whole new definition of "hiatus"!.

I don't have access to my PSS catalogs right now (on vacay), but I'm pretty certain that the Precancel Gods will look down favorably upon your Nebraska overprint (fraternal?) twins.

Chasa? ....are you in the house?

With Respect,
Greg

Wheelman,

Still on vacation, but I noticed that there is substantial contributed material in the precancel section of this forum. A search in this area will turn up all the details. Contrary to my initial expectation, it appears that the precancel versions of the Kansas & Nebraska overprints may actually diminish their values.

Hope this helps.

Greg
