I recently had to stop at Mt Barker in Western Australia (wheel bearing noise) and a possible overnight stay if we could get the parts. Nearest accommodation was "Nomads Guesthouse" Mongolian Yurts, and rescue kangaroos from Road Trauma.

A very nice and attractive set of ten stamps shows Tuvan animals, issued in 1935. Here are the first five of them: Eurasian Badger (Meles meles): Eurasian Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris): Sable (Martes zibellina): Corsac Fox (Vulpes corsac): Eurasian Otter (Lutra lutra): |

Nice collection! Those are nice stamps, my impression is they are quite popular too among collectors. I have some pages myself, but only with the corner cancels, which I assume are CTO's or something like that. |

The first Tuva airmail set of stamps was issued in April 4, 1934. There are nine stamps in the set, all with the inscription "AIR MAIL" in English only, no Russian, probably to attract foreign stamp collectors. Here are the first five of them: Domestic Yak (Bos grunniens): Bactrian Camel (Camelus bactrianus): Eurasian Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus), the only bird stamp issued by Tuva: Bactrian Camel (Camelus bactrianus): Argali (Ovis ammon): |
