I watched a obvious counterfeit Barber dime sell for over $600 a couple of months back. There's lots of naive folks out there. I just found it.

Sorry, that's a dead link and the individual page for it only has the tiny "auction ended" picture, though it does have the description which says "I don't know". For the curious who want a little better pic, use the "auctions recently ended" check box, then sort by highest price paid. Nice looking fake. The buyer there might be a scammer, intending to give a sucker a "bargain" -- fake slabbing would cost extra, I'm sure.

I believe that they are syncopated when created, so they wind up with that square look.
