Hey all, can anyone provide me the dimensions of each of these? I have a perf 11 of this design and am trying to distinguish between the flat plate (554) and rotary press (595). I am assuming that, as usual, dimensions will be the easiest way to determine this. Thanks for your help as always!
It is not always tiny flecks, but usually lots of ink spots on the back. You could search this forum for 'flat plate stamps' or just scan the stamp you have and we can help. By the way, the dimensions are never a sureproof way to tell the printing.
I don't know if the picture is clear enough to tell, but mine has some red ink on the back, mostly behind where the oval around the portrait would be. Sound like flat plate to you?
