Thanks for these good quality photos. It really brings the show to me, which I appreciate, since I couldn't attend. Looks like a lot of fun, and I see some familiar faces as well.

Many thanks for posting the pictures. I was able to see my wife in the background of one shot.

I only took a couple of pictures but I was pretty happy with this one - my three kids engrossed in the stock at A&D Stamps (working through topical checklists obtained from the ATA booth around the corner). It was a thrill to see them shopping completely independently, and kudos to A&D for treating them well as customers!

Thanks to everyone who attended for supporting the show and the dealers. The space is large relative to the need. One of the items we will be looking at for future show considerations is the space of the venue. The Convention Center model should be seriously reconsidered. The space in Richmond was honestly booked expecting to accommodate up to 150 dealer booths and more than 1,000 exhibit frames. If and when that number is not met (we had just over 100 booths at the Richmond show), the floor space is readjusted and it makes it seem emptier than it really is. I don't have a final crowd estimate but it fell somewhere between attendance for the Portland Show and Grand Rapids in 2015.

We get encouraged to work more closely with other groups to promote the hobby and we are trying to put deeds to words. The leadership of the American Topical Association should be applauded for breaking with tradition and joining together with the APS to host a show. Hopefully, that leadership will prove infectious for others in the hobby. It is hopefully not a one time thing, but rather the future of the stamp show model.

I made it into one of the pecs in the first set of pics, but I'm too out of focus to recognize.

BTW, the lady at the A&D booth is Abigail and she is good (but has nothing to do with the A in the A&D name)

More thanks to Angore and paperhistory for photos; and to Scott for weighing in. Looks like a fun experience. However, since I blew off most of my stamp budget for the year at WESTPEX and Rocky Mountain Stamp Show.................
