Wondering if anyone else has bought from them:

http://www.greatbritainstamps.net/

I bought a couple of year sets today then had problems getting payment to be accepted. Two attempts to pay using Paypal did not go through. I then switched to credit card. My carrier declined that one and immediately I got an email about a 'suspicious' transaction. I checked on the email that it was OK, then went back and this time it went through. That was after I had to go through three pages of 'click on the picture' stuff.

Hopefully this being the first purchase, these issues won't happen again. Just seemed like a lot of hoops to jump through.

I've had several orders of accessories from them - excellent service. Don't know how long things will take to cross the Atlantic, of course.

I know they have a good reputation which is why I was surprised at what happened. I managed to call Paypal and they showed a record of an attempted payment and that it did not go through, she couldn't tell me why. Probably just a glitch with their interface with PP.

Competitive prices, or so it looks.

If a bank card is the link to PayPal, then "suspicious" transactions get reported all the time for overseas transactions using them. It's based on you making a transaction in the US then making a potentially "impossible" transaction in the UK hours later. It's a canned warning, in other words, and is a minor irritation for frequent travelers.
