Rod, nice bunch. Do you keep them because of the different shades?

Peter

Hi Peter.
not so much shades, but that does help on page.
My Pages are "parking lots" for later inspection.
KG5's comes with a myriad of "flaws", so it is prudent to take 1 issue at a time, consult the specialist catalogue and pencil in notes below the stamp.

Doing 1 issue at a time, keeps the information fresh as you go from stamp to stamp of the same issue.

This issue only comes in 3 shades:
Blue
Deep Blue
Dull Blue.

There exists only 22,080,000 stamps of this issue.

Rod, I do something similar on some modern US stamps. I have the experience that sometimes I ill look at a stamp that I have seen a hundred times before and still find something new. Do you have this same experience?

I'd suggest that was probably an "Inverted watermark"

Please post any links you may have had on this auction,
we like to keep records.

Of course Peter, probably 10 years to realise the US "beacon" Air issue
was for night flying, I always thought a curious design, but never came across an explanation till here.

Australian KG5 flaw issues are still being discovered.

Blackcat,
What Catalogue are you using?
So the watermark is small multiple A (Not multiple C of A)
P13½ x 12½ comb. Die ll

I make that a ACSC 108 1929
Colours
Blue
Deep Blue
Dull Blue

That would be Scott #72
Cheers
