Someone intentionally selling something for $100 less than they (supposedly) paid for it would make me concerned as well.

Maybe it's yet another modern counterfeit?

Jim

For those looking at this topic four months from now (when the above ebay link is dead), this is the lot in question:

Agreed. Very suspicious. There are several auctions of this type, almost identical in wording. All with different user ids, all with low feedback counts. The wording in the description area is the same...obviously the same person using multiple users ids.

disi - those in your link are a different type of stamp (the pnes in your story were regular stamps, the ones on ebay come from the APC machines in PO lobbies). While the ones on ebay could have been stolen from a PO, they also could have been stolen from an employer.

My favorite is when someone lists a large batch of something at a discount that was just issued a few days earlier.

Morning all, where I'm at is this is a crime..or what looks like a crime. No way possible you would sell stacks of good postage for $100.00 less than you paid for it..doesn't add up.
We're talking forever stamps, computer generated...thanks for the input.

Hi 91stang, I buy postage lots at 65% of face value. I buy large amounts then use them for years. Last lot I bought I'm still using, and expect to have enough for maybe 2 or 3 more years.

Stampmaster,

You are not buying CVP at 65 percent of face value, so your point is?

StateRevs, my point is you can save a lot of money on postage!

The original post did not mention anything about Computer Vended Postage.

Thought I'd share my insights how to save money.

Sorry I did not realize that the stamps in question was Computer vended postage!
