I inherited a collection and this was with the stamps. The second image of the bottom covered with felt. You can see though only side to side. Looking directly at the top is reflective.

I believe that would best be categorized as a paper weight.
But it's cool. I'd keep it on my desk

Does it magnify the stamp when viewing through the sides? One of my best magnifiers, was part of a Vue-master, a large rectangular domed piece of class, that I also use as a paper weight!

It's not very big. No bigger than a quarter side to side. It does not magnify anything .
