Hello, I am Michael. I just joined. First thing I did was read the rules. Very good, but one question, and I feel so dumb even asking but they say no question is a dumb question if you don't know, right? well, I read I have to have 50 posts to post a message perhaps that is to specific forums?? Am not sure. How do I get 50 posts? Where do I post to get the 50? Obviously I just found this to post
I collect GB GV Downey Heads, and there is more to me but I don't want to break any rule by appearing to do publicity. I now live in the Philippines after many years living in UK, Canada, Australia, South Korea and Hong Kong. Have been collecting for 45 years. Am happily retired and busier than when I was at work. That is a starter. Thanks for letting me join the community. Michael
Welcome! The 50 post minimum is just for a few sections like the buy/sell/trade and off topic area. The post count is part of the vetting process. The rest of the topic areas is available now so if you want to discus stamps there is no minimum. I will say the 50 post usually means quality posts - meaning not just bumping topics to run up of post count.
You can share information or ask questions or comment in ongoing discussions as a new member. You can upload images, etc.
Welcome, As Al posted, the 50 posts are meant to prevent spammers and other people from using the community for commercial purposes. So by requiring 50 posts we all get to know one another. If you are a dealer or business, please consider purchasing an advertising banner, sponsoring one of the forum categories, or becoming a forum 'supporter'. There are various levels of participation which will fit any budget. Don
Hi, Thanks to you both for the info. Very helpful. And I agree with the post minimum, especially re bumping up posts etc. Will look around some more. Thanks..Michael
