Hi ggreve, I do not collect First Day Covers, but have a couple questions.

1. The top right corner of the envelope appears damaged?

2. Either the stamp or the cancel was applied at an angles?

Does these affect the value of this cover or not?

I don't think the top right corner is damaged. I will add picture soon. It seems to be because the envelope flap is not square. Not sure if that is a flaw?

Yes, it appears to be at a slight angle. I don't think that affects the value. My understanding is that fact that it does not have a cachet design affects value more. Maybe someone else has more input?

Sorry I don't have many answers for you. I will post a picture of another FDC that has cancel applied at a more drastic angle.

Stampmaster, I believe on the first picture the stamp was not put on the envelope straight. The cancels were generally applied by a machine and are usually very neat, even and straight.
