The Rare Rja40 Narcotic Stamp With A Missing Overprint Variety

Just kidding.

This is R236, catalog value of a quarter, being represented as a narcotic stamp, for some reason.

It also looks like the cancel is 1918, not 1913. Mostly because the stamps were issued in 1917 and they didn't exist in 1913.

What's really weird is that someone actually bid on it.

Maybe someone needs to make an appointment at an optometrist soon?

It can't possibly be a narcotic stamp, none were issued until 1919. However it's coming from Malaysia, so there is a high probability that the seller is a novice in this area.

There is, of course, always the possibility of a Malaysian time tunnel that could have fabricated this item.
