The topic isn't a particular area of interest to me, but I'm always intrigued by how often older addressed FDC's are addressed to women. Quite a few in my experience. Yet, it would seem to many that philately is dominated by men, not women. Maybe so, in actual numbers, but I think more women have been involved in philately over the years than is often appreciated.
