Dear Stamp Community Family

Here I have some kind of a propaganda vignette.

The inscription means "Beware, open your eyes! In poor visibility and at night, watch out for danger twice!" This was the slogan for the fight against accidents of the German Reichspost and the German Reichsbahn.
I found a corresponding postcard on the internet. It seems the inscription on the signal board has been forgotten for the vignette.

Does anyone know when this vignette was issued?

Thanks for any hint.

Best regards from Switzerland

André

You may get an idea of its printing era from the type of paper used, compare to stamps of similar style, artwork, type of printing.

Hello,

The vignette was probably issued by the Reichsabahn.

The card with text logo was issued by the Deutsche Bundesbahn,(German Railroad company) probably in the 1950's.

They were issued to prefend accidents happening to railroad workers.

I do not have simular vignettes, but I do have 2 orginal posters from 1952 and 1953. the second also shows the logo on your vignette.

1952 Warning not to move in between to carriages like this.

1953 Controlers of the track should stay to the left.

Kind regards,

Johan.

The logo was also used during the Third Reich period. You can see it here in the color green. At this time, the Reichspost was involved with mail and communication services, accident prevention, and nuclear research, among other things.
