I had seen ads in UK stamp magazines for Apex auctions. They seem to be a division of Gibbons offering more reasonably priced merchandise, had only seen their auction ads.

I was surfing for UK approval dealers and they popped up, seems they do offer selections and service US customers. Has anyone dealt with them and what was your experience?

No. But I'm interested to hear if others have opinions.

I could be wrong, but I think SG shut down Apex very recently (but I could be wrong as I didn't hear it directly)

I sent an inquiry via their website yesterday and this morning got a reply just addressing their auctions, they sent a PDF of their latest catalog. Not a word about approvals. I replied asking for clarification. Right now I'd say it's not looking good.

Email received today from their Approvals manager telling me I am welcome to request a selection and asking for details of my wants.

I wonder if they are still associated with Gibbons. This could be a good source of less expensive material culled from the SG stock. Can update if anyone is interested.

At the bottom of the link I provided it states that Apex Auctions is part of Stanley Gibbons.
