For sheet-fed Hoe flat plate press printed stamps (U.S. Scott # 554, perforated 11 x 11).




For web-fed Stickney rotary press printed stamps (U.S. Scott # 634, perforated 11 1/4 x 10 1/2).

In the second photo, the lady at front right almost looks as though she has a computer mouse in her right hand. I'm thinking no, however.

The BEP continued to use these line perforations (11 x 11 and 11 1/4 x 10 1/2) on some of their postage stamps up until 1985. However, the flat plate perforator was replaced by the L-perforator and the bar and wheel perforator was replaced by the electric eye perforator.
