What do you think?

If it is, it probably should have been mentioned by the seller...

I can't really tell, but it's a moot point. The perfs that are there are clipped/blunted, which IMO is as much a detriment as reperfed would be.

That said, the seller is starting it at an eminently reasonable price.

The right side looks like a pretty amateurish reperforating job. The top horizontal perforations slant up to the right. Is this normal for these stamps?

Hi

Seller is a member of the APS.

Seller has also scanned from and back again.

All in all that a bad looking stamp.

I might have considered bidding if the CDS Canx was darker.

I have seen and even own early revenue stamps where the perforation are slanted!

I can't tell if there was any reperforating on this stamp or not.

Needs a closer examination, but I don't like the perts at right or top.

Not that it is evidence that they are genuine but it is hard to believe that if the right was reperforated that they wouldn't have added full-depth perforations. If the top was reperforated that would be even stranger what with the hanging chads and blind perfs.

The only thing that jumps out at me about this stamp that hasn't been mentioned by the seller is the vertical crease that isn't so easy to see.

Keeping them shallow means the design remains complete. And all the hanging chads makes it more difficult to determine whether they are genuine or not.

So the seller not only didn't mention the crease and the perforation issues, but he/she did say:

sound in all respects

Still, starting the bidding of a scarce revenue at 10% of catalog value is fair, I think.

It would just be nice to have these faults mentioned, rather than for someone to think they're getting a great deal.
