I think it would be interesting to see a continuation of the military decorations with the Silver Star and Bronze Star on stamps, just as they did with the Medals of Honor and the Service Crosses. As many of our recent veterans have received these decorations, the interest would definitely be there. |

2018 will mark the 5th year since the death of Stan Musial, so he becomes a possible stamp subject. But I think 2020 would be more likely (100th anniversary of his birth). |

Since postage is going to 50 cents on Jan. 21, I think they should reprint and reissue the 50 cent purple Susan B.Anthony from the late 1950s Great American series. |

Rumors are starting to emerge that something official from the USPS about the 2018 stamp program should appear soon. Surely by Christmas. In past years, the official announcements came as early as what, September? |

For those who suggested anniversary stamps for assassinations and deaths, the U.S. generally does not issue stamps for such anniversaries. |

A US Airmail commemorative to be issued May 1 has been announced.
That was THE one I was looking for, and it didn't look it was going to happen. Made my day. Now I've FDC's to plan for this year (I only do that for aviation topical issues). |
