I just updated my one-frame exhibit:

Special Mail Routes of Rupert's Land and the Red River Valley
http://redriver.cgpostal.com

Thought it might be of interest to some. Comments and constructive criticism solicited. Thanks.

Edith Fowke, the renowned Canadian folklorist, believes the song "Red River Valley", a mainstay of all of us folkies of the 60's, refers to this area as opposed to all the other Red Rivers in North America.

From this valley they say you are going.
We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile,
For they say you are taking the sunshine
That has brightened our pathway a while.

So come sit by my side if you love me.
Do not hasten to bid me adieu.
Just remember the Red River Valley,
And the cowboy that has loved you so true.

Amazing exhibit, thank you. I was also thinking of another Red River valley, between Oklahoma and Texas.

Nice exhibit. 1838 is a very early use of the word: "vaccination".
From some quick googling, it looks like the smallpox vaccine originated with Edward Jenner (a Brit) circa 1796, and I believe with it, that was the origin of that word (vaccine).
